Mentors

Your experience and passion coupled with a supportive attitude and a little bit of time is all that’s needed to empower arts students to deliver arts projects to London school-children whilst they work towards an Arts Community Exchange Community Arts Leader Award.

Mentors are:
"People who through their actions and work, help others to achieve their potential" (Shea, GF).

As a Create to Learn mentor, you’ll commit to:

  • Sharing your experience of the industry with a young person to enable them to work with school children on their arts projects.
  • Providing and insight into the creative sector.
  • Attending two evening events: programme launch and training plus an introductory evening.
  • At least four meetings with your mentee. To be arranged at your convenience between January and July 2008. This may be supporting them directly on the school project or adopting a more advisory role.

Create to Learn will provide training and additional support as required.

If you are interested in mentoring an art student please complete the online registration form and the Create to Learn team will get back to you as soon as possible.
