Arts Students

Create to learn is looking for arts students from a range of creative disciplines to inspire school children to create their own arts projects.

You’ll be mentored by a creative professional which could prove invaluable to your progression within the arts. Not only will you gain a realistic insight into working in the creative industry but you could increase networking opportunities and gain useful contacts.

Create to Learn mentors are flexible to your needs. They can be involved directly in the projects or take on a more advisory role. You decide together about the best way for you to get the most from the programme.

And it doesn’t matter if community arts is not your specialism as the skills you’ll gain, including leadership, project management and time management, are transferable.

Create to Learn will train, guide and support you throughout the process and as part of a small team of art students working with the same school; they’ll be plenty of like-minded people to share your experience with.

In planning and developing your creative projects with schools, you’ll also be working towards an Arts Community Exchange Community Arts Leader Award; a personal accolade of your hard work and a welcome CV boost in an increasingly competitive industry.

To openly recognise your hard work, the programme culminates in a showcase open to the public.
